Technology and A Changing Future - Augmented Reality

I believe we are living in one of the best times in history. But at the same time it can also be a one of the worst times in history for people who are not fast enough to adapt to change. Never in the history of mankind has new technology come in and been adopted by billions of people across millions of kilometers in  such a short period of time.

This creates opportunities for people who are fast, smart and ready to adapt to change. Lots of wealth can be created. Look around you, Jeff Bezos, I love the guy, who is worth over $100 Billion today, has created more wealth in a short period of time in an absolutely new industry. An industry he created.

At the same time, Amazon is going to end up being a massive threat to people in conventional retail and any other industry they enter as they have massive data on how consumers behave. They have knowledge and they are going to use that knowledge to their benefit.

Technology and people who control technology are going to be more powerful than governments. The next wave of technology is going to be in areas like 3D printing where massive printers can print entire buildings and machinery. Massive infrastructure projects can be completed within weeks thanks to massive printers.

All this once again will mean a threat to traditional companies, unless they adapt to these changes and in fact introduce these changed. This will mean massive unemployment for manual labourers who are unable to adopt new skills. Today revenues and incomes are growing across industries, but they are hiring lesser and lesser people. Machines and AI is gaining more and more importance. No amount of government regulation can stop this change.

To succeed, we need to be open to a changing world, we need to be open to new ideas and thoughts. I remember, when my first book was launched, Invest The Happionaire Way, I was 23. I had spoken to the leadership at Kingfisher Airlines and told them they should sell my book in all their flights as they can earn additional revenue and people can get an amazing book to read. They said it has never been done before and were closed minded.

I believe that is the attitude that led them to go bust. On the other hand, another airline that was open to the idea and retailed the book, went on to become one of the biggest airlines in India.

I have always been fascinated by technology and are happy to share we have been doing some incredible experiments with Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence.

Succeed The Happionaire Way has become the first book ever in the Happionaire Series to have Incorporated Augmented Reality in it.

Here's a sneak peak at it -

This is in association with the amazing Vyaar-Lit - do check them out.

In the future there is a lot more that's going to happen. Right now, we are keeping it top secret, but stay tuned, you will see it.

I am curious to know, how are things shaping up in your industry? How is technology affecting you? What sort of disruption is happening? Are you excited because of it or are you scared? Do you see technological disruption as a threat or an opportunity? I'm very curious to learn more and as always benefit from it.

Have a wonderful week ahead and make the most of every moment!

Lots of smiles, warmth and happiness,

Yogesh Chabria
